I was born in Kirkcaldy in Fife and spent my formative years in Scotland. I directed my first full length play at the age of 18 and have been working as a director ever since. I live in Egham with my husband Matt and an enormous cat called Lennox.
I believe that my job is to tell stories and I am endlessly fascinated by the narratives of human life. I am inspired by tales of big ideas, interesting spirits and strong souls.
What I strive for is to be the perfect conduit between text (or stimulus) actors and audience. My great passion is working with actors; they inspire me endlessly and guiding and facilitating an actor is the most important job undertaken by any director.
I aspire to make work that is bold, brave and beautiful. I seek to forge strong alliances and bonds with fellow artists and I am determined to do my part to keep the stories coming, be it on the stage on or the radio.
I look forward to hearing from you. |
